Tropical Smoothie Cafe, a national favorite for flavorful smoothies and delectable bites, is soon opening its doors at 2805 Gulf Fwy S i, League City, TX 77539. But the real story behind this opening isn’t just about fresh fruits and veggies; it’s about two savvy business partners, Brent Partin and William Long.
While this is their first foray into the world of Tropical Smoothie Cafe and the restaurant scene, Partin and Long are no strangers to the franchise industry. For nearly a decade, the dynamic duo has owned Amada Senior Care, with six thriving locations spread across Houston and East Texas.
Their time with Amada taught them a lot about franchise ownership and operation, but felt it was time to extend into the smoothie business. The idea came last year, which set the two on a journey to find the best fit that landed them on Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
The pair’s strategy has been nothing short of ambitious. Not only did they purchase an existing Tropical Smoothie Cafe at 2575 E League City Pkwy in June 2023, but they’re also on track to open seven more locations in Southeast Houston. Corporate has been super supportive of the duo’s vision for their expansion of the brand, Partin told What Now Houston.
In a turn of events that speaks to their networking prowess and business acumen, Partin and Long also entered into a unique partnership with another Tropical Smoothie Cafe franchise. A deal to buy out a location from a mother-daughter duo turned into a golden management opportunity instead. It was decided as a mutually benefited agreement, allowing both parties to expand by utilizing what each brought to the table thus creating a mighty team-up.
Partin and Long’s location in League City is set to open in the first quarter of 2024.
