Tap N Ash Social Club, the cigar lounge from the team behind local popup Baddash Mobile Cigar Lounge, is on track to open in the Arts District this year, if somewhat later than planned. A permit was issued by Clark County in April for work at 1606 S Commerce St that includes new restrooms, a humidor, and the cigar lounge’s planned wine and beer taps, which will allow guests to use a special ID to serve themselves.

The brand is made for guests looking for a comfortable, lounge/speakeasy-style atmosphere.

“What we hear from a lot of cigar smokers is that the places they go feel too much like a night club, or like somebody just threw some chairs in a room,” owner Michelle Runles explained to What Now Las Vegas last year. Tap N Ash is meant to offer something more like “your living room away from home,” as well as being a place where everyone—not just men—feels welcome.

“We have quite a few female cigar smokers who follow us. They will feel just as welcome with the colors and layout, right when they walk in the door.”

The Commerce street location, situated on the southwest corner of the W Wyoming Ave intersection, is just across the street from food and drink establishments like Able Baker Brewing, Taco Rico, and Horse Trailer Hideout. An opening was originally expected this spring; no updated opening date has yet been announced.
