The much-anticipated Vic’s, a Vegas Vic-themed restaurant promising jazz and upscale Italian dining, is gearing up to open at Symphony Park in Downtown Las Vegas. Last month, the City of Las Vegas tweeted a video showing a replica of the iconic Vegas Vic sign being installed at the site.

“Music is a thing for us. We do jazz: straight jazz,” owner Chris Lowden, of Stoney’s Rockin’ Country fame, told What Now Las Vegas in a telephone conversation when news first broke about the new concept last fall. “The food will be phenomenal, and the jazz will be phenomenal. Higher end, but also not strip pricing.”

Vic’s will open on Promenade Place, across the street from Discovery Children’s Museum. It will feature a spacious dining room and stage, along with outdoor patio dining, an outdoor cigar smoking area, and a private dining room that will seat fourteen with a view of the stage.

Open 24 hours, seven days a week, the restaurant will also feature slot machines.Lowden has credited slot machines with making a great jazz venue (not only a great venue, but, more specifically, a venue with great jazz) possible, providing the financial breathing room to bring in truly exceptional performers.

Vic’s is also located near the Smith Center for the Performing Arts and plans to work with the center on music programming.
