Souvlaki and Gyro chain Nick the Greek is planning its entrance to Las Vegas with a new location on the northwest corner of the E Serene AveS Eastern Ave intersection. Permit paperwork was recently filed with Clark County for a “Nick the Greek” project in the building at 9255 S Eastern Ave.

The chain has 42 locations currently in operation, mostly in California, with plans to break into several more states, including Nevada (with restaurants upcoming in both Vegas and Reno) and Arizona.

Nick the Greek’s streamlined menu begins with a selection of pita sandwiches. These include Beef/Lamb, Pork Souvlaki, Falafel, Veggie, and Grecian Beefteki Burger. Then follows a selection of plate dinners like the Gyro Plate, Souvlaki, and the Falafel plate, and Gyro Bowls (choice of meat or falafel, basmati rice, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, red wine vinaigrette topped with tzatziki and spicy yogurt). The menu is rounded off with a selection of Salads, Fries, and Sides.

What Now Las Vegas was unable to reach a representative of Nick the Greek for comment on Tuesday. Although the Las Vegas location is listed on the chain’s website as “Coming Soon,” no opening date has been announced.
