Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel, the Marriott hotel located opposite the Las Vegas Convention Center, appears to be planning for a new Starbucks location. Permitting paperwork for a “Starbucks Renaissance” project was recently submitted to Clark County. The value of the contract was listed as the considerable sum of $900,000.

Starbucks is known, of course, for tea and coffee drinks that include lattes, hot and iced coffee, and its branded frozen drink the Frappuccino, among other hot and cold beverages. The chain also offers breakfast sandwiches, hot and cold sandwich options for lunch, chips, pastries, and desserts.

At Renaissance Las Vegas, the coffee shop would join a small community of high-quality dining locations within the hotel. These include the hotels signature restaurant and bar Grill 55, which offers “American food in a relaxed atmosphere”; Envy Steakhouse, which offers “a robust selection of steaks, seafood, and shareable plates”; and Sammy’s, a whiskey bar “paying homage to the Rat Pack.”

It has not been confirmed whether the planned Starbucks would replace EGO, the café currently operating within the hotel (and serving Starbucks coffee). No word is available on the location’s opening timeline if plans are approved.
