In addition to Las Vegas’s first Teaspoon location, planned for Matter Real Estate’s much-anticipated mixed-use community UnCommons, another location is planned for suite 9 at 1990 Village Center Circle. Clark County recently issued a permit for work at that address.
The franchisees behind this location are both MBA candidates at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Adina d’Almeida and Franchesta Hammonds met in a finance course, where they dreamed up the idea of opening a boba shop.
“From the time when we started the finance class to the end, I got addicted to boba,” Hammonds told What Now Las Vegas last October. “I was thinking, why was this not in my neighborhood?”
Teapoon serves a variety of signature drinks, like the Silky Mango and the Flamingo, in addition to proven boba tea-shop favorites like Taro Milk Tea. The menu also features macarons in adventurous varieties like Ferrero Rocher, Pistachio Guavo, and Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Like so many projects these las few years, Teaspoon’s opening appears to have been somewhat delayed. It is still unknown when the Village Center location will open (the UnCommons location is expected this summer), but Summerlin residents impatient for this fast-growing West-Coast boba chain can now rest assured that it is still on its way.
