Nielsen’s Frozen Custard, currently located on Eastern Ave not far south the Serene Ave intersection, has been serving its frozen custard for thirty years. Named “the smoothest stuff around” by the Critics Choice Award and recognized by other major publications (including the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post), the brand’s product is known as Frozen Custard Concrete: “a very thick shake you eat with a spoon.”

And now the brand looks to be planning a move at Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa. Permit paperwork filed recently with Clark County describes plans for a Nielsen’s location at the resort, with a contract valuation for construction of $303,000.

Nielsen’s Frozen Custard Concrete comes in classic flavors like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, plus a whole variety of others, including Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and Heath Toffee. They can be fancied up with nuts like almonds, cashews, peanuts, pistachios, and many more.

What Now Las Vegas reached out to Nielsen’s owner Howard Zayon on Friday. Zayon declined to comment on the question of plans for a Red Rock location. A representative of the casino resort also declined to comment.
