According to recent reporting, Buc-ee’s, the Texas based convenience store and gas station that serves fast casual meal options, is planning to open its first Ohio location in Huber Heights, just outside of Dayton. Although an exact address hasn’t been released yet, according to plans submitted to the city of Huber Heights, the 74,000 square foot Buc-ee’s will be located on a 52 acre site on the northeast corner of an interchange located at I-70 and Ohio 235.
According to the article, the site plans show the Buc-ee’s will have 120 gas pumps and parking for over 700 vehicles. The fueling centers are known for their expansive convenience stores that carry ready to eat, fast casual items like brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, breakfast tacos and burritos, all made in-house, along with a bakery that serves pastries, cinnamon rolls and cookies. The chain also carries a variety of snacks such as flavored popcorns, jerky, fudge and drinks like coffee.
Buc-ee’s started in Texas in 1982 and has grown to over 40 locations in seven states, with most of them located in the south. Besides their large convenience stores, numerous pumps and ample parking lots, Buc-ee’s prides itself on having the “cleanest restrooms in America,” according to its website.
