According to an article from Bridgetown Bites, Pronto Gelato will soon debut in the Cully area at 4205 NE Alberta Street.

A representative of Pronto Gelato was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Portland’s request.

Pronto Gelato’s website states, “Pronto will open its retail scoop shop in the late spring of 2024.”

According to Bridgetown Bites, “Brought to you by Andrea Spella (Spella Coffee) and George Kaden (Campana), they joined together in 2023 and started production in early 2024, after buying a gelato business in Eugene from its owner, who was retiring.”

“They are still working things out at the Cully location but you can try their gelato now at Campana and Spella Cafe. Other locations are in the plans, too. According to Gary the Foodie, “The Alberta location will be both a gelateria and caffe.” That means affogati, too.”

Pronto Gelato’s website provides additional information, stating, “Andrea Spella first sold espresso beans to George Kaden in the summer of 2017. Little did they know that an opportunity to build a business together would present itself many years later.”

“In 2023, Andrea and George combined their many years of business ownership in Portland to purchase a small business from a retiring gelato maker. They moved everything from Eugene and opened their gelato production shop in the winter of 2024. Pronto provides larger-format gelato and sorbet containers to restaurants, grocers, and cafes.”
