The Southern California-based restaurant group, Innovative Dining Group, will be opening two significant restaurants in downtown Austin sometime in 2023, according to recent reports by FSR Magazine and Eater.

Sushi Roku, a high-end sushi brand, aims to begin construction this winter at 405 S. Colorado St in Downtown Austin, within Brandywine Trust’s new 405 Colorado building. As is standard in sushi restaurants, Sushi Roku specializes in sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and a range of Japanese fare. Currently, Roku has restaurants in California, Nevada, and Arizona.

Not too far away, IDG will also be opening BOA Steakhouse at 300 W. 6th. St, sharing a building with the Downtown Austin Meta offices. Also a fine dining venture, BOA serves primarily American-style steak, Wagyu steak, and assessment of seafood such as King Crab legs, salmon and sea bass. Currently, BOA Steakhouse only exists in West Hollywood and Santa Monica making the upcoming Austin location especially significant.

What Now Austin recently reached out to representatives for IDG to inquire about specific opening dates and insights on their Austin expansion, but they were not immediately available for comment.
