The growing coffee chain, On the Grind, will soon be opening a San Marcos location, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. The restaurant will be located at 1508 Aquarena Springs Dr., near Sakura Sushi and Shipley Donuts. Readers and partners should note the excellent real estate of the location, considering it will be right off the corridor between Texas State and I-35, ensuring a traffic flow of travelers, students, and locals.

For those unfamiliar with the growing brand, On the Grind coffee serves a range of beverages such as coffee, blended energy drinks, teas, lemonades, and smoothies. Customers may order muffin tops as a snack option blueberry, chocolate chip, and lemon poppy seed flavors.

When asked what makes On the Grind stand out from other drive-thru style coffee brands, Mr. Garrott states “The owner (Mark Parmerlee) is extremely personally connected to every store we have. He is huge on service.”

And what does Mr. Garrott himself choose from the brand’s wide variety?

“I order straight black coffee, I’m just an old school guy.”

Beyond the San Marcos opening, Central Texas foodies can expect two upcoming stores in New Braunfels, along with a Cibolo and Live Oak store, all in the San Antonio area.
