The popular grocery store and deli Tiny Grocer will soon be opening a second location, according to a recent report by Eater. The report states that the establishment will be opening at 4300 Speedway, in the Hyde Park neighborhood, near classic neighborhood eateries such as Quack’s Bakery and Julio’s.
Two notable details about the upcoming location are its occupation of the former post office and its expanded restaurant offering, according to the report.
Expanding on details of the restaurant’s future offerings, Eater reports “with the larger space at the Hyde Park location, owner Steph Steele is planning to expand the kitchen offerings to include a counter-service cafe. She’ll add new dinner and weekend brunch services, which will lean toward French comfort fare. Expect items like steak and mussels for dinner, and eggs Benedict and croque-monsieurs for brunch. She’s working with an unnamed local chef to develop the menu.”
What Now Austin reached out to owner Steph Steele to inquire more concrete details about the offerings, space, and potential opening dates, but she was not immediately available for comment.
In any case, readers and partners can be sure that, given its location in quiet and walkable central Austin neighborhood, the grocery-restaurant combo is sure to be a draw for neighbors and visitors for years to come.
