Colorado-based Kitchen Bistro is set to soon begin building out its debut Austin location at 600 Guadalupe St, according to recent public records.

Construction notes for the impressive 8,500 square foot space state that the project will consist of “First floor tenant improvement of an existing shell space for a full service restaurant including full commercial kitchen.” The project will cost an estimated $4.5 million and wrap up in late summer 2024.

“Our food is bold & dramatic, punctuated with surprising details,” the official website states. “Our drinks delicious first, but never lacking in style. tried & true. with a couple of calculated leaps of faith. Our space is an enveloping escape from the everyday.”

Readers unfamiliar with the small but growing chain can expect an upscale New American menu with offerings such as BLT, Huevos Rancheros, Lobster Roll, and other familiar dishes. Founded in 2004 by Hugo Matheson & Kimbal Musk, The Kitchen Bistro can be found in Boulder, Denver, and Chicago.
