Postino Wine Café, a chain wine bar, will soon build a location in Austin, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. The restaurant will be located at 1615 W 35th Street, home of a former burger king. It is not immediately clear whether this will be a second area location or the debut store’s change of location.

The brand is defined as “An industrial winecafé offering unique and approachable wines, simply scrumptious food prepared with local ingredients, and a warm, edgy culture that brings people together” on the Upward Projects website, the restaurant management group that runs Postino.

A filing with Texas’s Architectural Barriers Projects database indicates that a construction project titled “Postino’s Wine Café” is slated to begin in June 2024, with an estimated cost of $1,000,000. The scope of work is described as “New interior fit out in an existing shell building, with a 1,000 SF addition to an existing building for a new restaurant. Total scope of work to be 3950 SF.” and lists the Upward Projects Director of Design as the project contact.

No opening date has been announced.
