Expect notes of oak, hickory, cherry, and other citrus hardwoods when you dig into plates from Vero Beach’s Tradewinds 41, the new ocean-side eatery slated to open on Royal Palm Pointe next year.
Tradewinds 41 will be owner Tim Girard’s first restaurant, although he’s not new to the restaurant business itself, having managed two previously. Girard is also the president of Girard Equipment, Inc. in Vero Beach and has over 30 years of general management experience under his belt.
While Tradewinds 41 will serve Florida seafoods, steak, and other fare, Girard says the eatery’s menu is inspired in part by the travel he does for work, hence the name Tradewinds. The food, which will be cooked over an Argentinean wood-fired grill called an asador, will have a “South American twist.” According to plans Girard shared with What Now Orlando, guests will be able to see chefs working over the asador when they enter the restaurant.
The eatery will offer a comfortable dining experience aimed at Vero Beach’s non-seasonal demographic. You can expect only the freshest foods from local vendors who will deliver on a daily basis.
The space at 41 Royal Palm Pointe, which is being remodeled, will house three semi-private dining rooms, including a second floor Tiki Room, which will easily host private events. Tradewinds will be open for lunch, and, in the evening, the eatery’s dining room will convert to a dance floor with space for live music entertainment.
Girard shared the restaurant has had some delays in opening, and he expects he’ll have an opening date for the eatery by no later than summer 2022.
