JoJo’s Shake Bar, the successful Chicago chain that describes itself as “the next generation restaurant and bar that presents a modern, yet familiar, dining experience — grounded in nostalgia — with a focus on creative desserts and elevated diner favorites,” is planning on opening its first Florida location on International Drive in Orlando.

Owner Robbie Schloss said it was too early in the process to discuss details — he’s busy getting ready to open the chain’s fourth Chicago-area location — but said, “We’re super excited to be entering the Florida market. We hope there is big applause when we come.”

The company has leased a 4,471 sq. ft. location at 9101 International Drive, Orlando, according to leasing intel.

“I’ll have a lot more information in a few weeks,” he said.

JoJo’s Shake Bar, Schloss said, “gives people a break from difficult situations in life like politics and such.”

Will it be modeled after his Chicago locations? Too early to even talk about that, he said. A glance into the menu at his River North location in Chicago is filled with everything pumpkin and fall, such as a Pumpkin Patch Shake and a Carmel Apple Mule.

Stay tuned for an update.
