Sip Haines City, a wine and tapas concept, will appear at 21 N 6th Street, near lake Tracy. The concept has a pre-existing location called Sip St. Pete’s Beach, as the owner Gene Downing confirmed on Friday. The restaurant has been situated just a block away from the beach since its opening two years ago.

While still in the construction phase, Downing shared that they are most likely 60 days out from opening their doors. Downing has worked in catering and has twenty years of experience in restaurants. He is business partners with Jonathan Anglin

Sip Haines City will operate similarly to its St. Pete Beach counterpart, including hosting wine and painting events. Live music from local artists are frequent occurrences at the St. Pete Beach location, according to their Facebook page

“Wine Stations” are a staple of the St. Pete Beach unit, and they are expected to be in the forthcoming location. These dispensing stations are known for their convenience, allowing guests to choose their wine and the quantity they order.
