Area 142 is preparing to open its debut location in Cocoa Beach according to owner Wayne Thornton. The space-themed bar and restaurant will be located at 142 Minutemen Causeway, near other establised Cocoa Beach eateries such as Heidelberg Restaurant and Cocoa Beach Thai & Sushi.
Mr. Thornton tells What Now Orlando that Area 142 will boast several notable features such as an upstairs open bar with wheelchair accessibility, a dance floor, parking garage and an open air venue for musical acts, both national and local. The restaurant will enjoy a scenic location, just a two minute walk from the coast.
The kitchen will be serving a range of Jamaican, American, and Cuban-inspired dishes such as bacon-wrapped maduro plantains, mojo chicken, cuban sandwiches and ceviche.
Mr. Thornton informs What Now Orlando that he is aiming for a grand opening sometime in the third week of October.
