The Domino’s franchise store located at 700 E Colonial Dr will be operating under new management, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida and confirmed to What Now Orlando by new franchisee Tom Salerno.
Mr. Salerno tells What Now Orlando that while no significant changes will be made at the location, he does ensure that “people are first” will be a guiding principle during his tenure. He is currently focused on hiring staff to run the store.
Mr. Salerno adds that the transition has happened in close coordination with the previous franchisee. Having previously run three Domino’s stores (under his own company BTB Hospitality Group INC), Salerno is sure to bring years of experience to the table.
Founded in 1960 as “DomiNick’s” in Michigan, the original store was bought by Tom and James Monaghan for $500 and renamed Domino’s Pizza. Since then, the company has become an incredibly successful American-style pizza chain with locations all across the United States and the world at large. As proof of its international success, the company’s first store to make $3 million in a year was the Tallaght, Ireland location in 2006.
