Beefy Brazilian Pie & Co, an upcoming Brazilian pie restaurant, will soon be opening in Winter Park, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida. The restaurant will be located at 2240 W Fairbanks Avenue, occupying the space of the former Loving Vegan Market & Cuisine.

“The concept is going to be Brazlian pies,” Owner Regina Bueno tells What Now Orlando. “This is the principal concept—dry meat pies that are very popular in Brazil. We will also have side dishes, but I’m not ready to give those away yet.”

“We need to help people build their healthy habits. Nothing fried, everything baked,” Bueno adds, explaining how she has noticed a shift in eating priorities around her. Following this principle, she is considering kombucha and exotic drinks to be offered alongside the meals.

When asked why she has decided to open a restaurant now, Bueno says “I have some experience with the concept and I like to cook a lot. I’m a retired mom and my kids have left home so I’m looking to make use of my time and savings.”

Currently, Bueno is waiting on permits and expects to open as soon as they are approved.
