The Ecuadorian cafe, Cafe Pinton, will soon open in Orlando, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida. The restaurant will be located at 11062 International Drive, within Suite 140, near eateries such as Thai Thani Thai, very close to Sea World Orlando. The restaurant will be 1073 square feet and consist of mostly indoor seating.

Owner Carolina Matheus tells What Now Orlando “We are Ecuadorians. Cafe Pinton will be a cafeteria in which we will demonstrate a range of Ecuadorian cuisine, much of which is based on the plantain.”

“On weekends we will have a special menu, featuring dishes ceviche made of octopus along with flour empanadas. Smoothies, juices, and natural ice creams will also be available.”

When asked what her main motivation was for opening the restaurant, Matheus explains, “We are motivated to have a base for Ecuadorian cuisine in Orlando now that the population of Ecuadorians is growing in the city.”

Depending on the timeline of the permitting processes that Matheus is waiting on, she anticipates an early 2023 opening more or less.
