Rockefeller’s, a new bar, is coming to Ormond Beach, according to recent public records. The establishment will be located at 142 E Granada Blvd, within the Fountain Square building.

While What Now Orlando briefly reached owner Slate Gray, he was not able to respond to questions about the bar. Fortunately, earlier reporting in Hometown News Volusia illustrates a clear picture of Gray and his project.

“It’s going to be 100% a local bar. We have a lot of snowbirds moving here. We’re losing our history. Our history is on our streets,” Gray said to the publication.

The namesake of the bar is John D. Rockefeller, the founder of Standard Oil Company and a former Ormond Beach snowbird himself, living his final years in a mansion known as The Casements.

“My whole life is wrapped around entrepreneurship and success,” Mr. Gray said. “Rockefeller was the richest man in the world.”

According to the report “Beer, wine, burgers and finger food will be the fare at Rockefeller’s”. No opening date has been announced.
