Vida Cocina & Tequila, a contemporary Mexican restaurant, will soon be opening at 275 W State Road 436 in Altamonte Springs, according to recent public records.

“We’re going to be a more modern Mexican concept,” owner Efrain Torres tells What Now Orlando. “Everything is going to be like an indoor garden.”

Articulating on the concept, Mr. Torres explains that customers can expect classic Mexican cuisine with an emphasis on “upscale presentation.”

So, why Altamonte Springs?

“I’m a graduate of Lake Brantley. We’ve been living here for 25 years. I wanted to stay close.”

While no opening date has been set, Mr. Torres predicts a fall 2023 opening. Until Vida opens, eager readers can sample Torres’s other restaurant, Garibaldi, in Apopka.
