According to a recent interview with Jeff’s Bagel Run’s partner Justin Wetherill — founder of Jeff’s Bagel Run equity partner 1337 Capital — the quickly growing brand is looking to go into Clermont and the Kirkman area of Orlando next.
“We have four leases signed, so those are O-Town, Winter Park, Celebration and Oviedo,” Wetherhill told The Orlando Business Journal. “We’ve got permits submitted for those four, we have permits in hand for Celebration and Winter Park. We’re going back and forth with comments on O-Town and Oviedo, and we hope to have those in the next week or so.”
“We have additional leases in review in Clermont and Conroy/Kirkman, there’s another. We’ve been pedal to the metal trying to get these leases signed and stores open, but it’s a lot of hurry up and wait, which is tough, but I am learning patience.”
Wetherhill then articulates the brand’s coming future.
“Our goal this year was to get to 10. Construction and permits took a bit longer than we wanted. Realistically, we will finish this year with five. Next year, we hope to open 25, and those will include our first stores out of Orlando. We are looking for leases outside of the area, and a lot of the 25 will come outside of Orlando.”
