After opening its Orange Ave spot in Orlando, local franchisee Hassan Rahim Talkin’ Tacos will be headed to Kissimmee next.

“Rahim said he’ll open a second location in Kissimmee in the coming months,” the Orlando Business Journal stated. “Family members have come in as partners and will open locations in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., under the Kismat Hospitality brand. Each location will have 20-22 employees.”

The specialty of Talkin’ Tacos is birria, a slow-cooked beef exploding in popularity across the US. Talkin’ Tacos uses birria the in tacos, sandwiches, pizza and ramen.

“We cook it for eight hours, and the consommé it’s dipped in takes four hours to make,” said Rahim. “One of the foundations of our menu is the tortillas, and we get those and the churro dough from a terrific vendor in Miami. Our house-made horchata is also excellent. It’s the first thing I asked the chef to make when he came up from Miami.”
