According to a recent report in Florida Today, a new oyster bar—Oyster Shooters—will soon make a debut at 916 Florida Ave in Cocoa Village.

“There’s no casual seafood place in the Village,” owner Thomas Bird said. “I like the idea of oysters without the river-view prices. I don’t want a stuffy place. I don’t want to be an occasion place. I don’t want you to feel like you have to wear a collared shirt to come inside.”

“The casual seafood restaurant will feature a garage door in the bar that opens to outdoor seating, an oyster bar and a private banquet room,” the report adds.

While no menu has been publicly shared, it is clear that the “raw bar & grill” will serve plenty of oysters, drinks, and classic American fare.

“Left and right side of the raw bar room granite top went in today, ready for paint and lots of tile to finish up that room. Garage doors go in tomorrow for the main bar area and the granite comes tomorrow night for that room too. We are moving now,” a recent Facebook post states.

“We are not currently hiring but will let you know as soon as we do on here and on indeed, we plan on opening in about 2 months.”
