According to recent OBJ reporting, the national Greek fast-casual chain The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill has opened at Maitland and will soon continue its expansion throughout the Orlando metropolitan area.

“When I decided to open my first location in Winter Garden, it was still an emerging brand and there were only a handful of other restaurants in operation,” said franchisee Kevin Carmean. “Because of this, I was able to have my own territory where I could establish the concept’s presence throughout the Orlando area. That was a big differentiator that played a key role in my decision.”

“We are strategically expanding our footprint to serve different communities without oversaturating the market. Maitland has been established for quite some time, but as a local, I noticed there were few quality food options in the area that were easy to access without parking challenges or having to go out of the way or deal with heavy traffic,” he explained.

“Also, I like the location because I live nearby, the demographics of the area are great and we’re close to the expressway with good parking — making it easy for our guests to stop in. We’ve also observed growth in the area, with larger retailers and other restaurant concepts beginning to open near our Maitland restaurant.”

“In addition to our new Maitland restaurant, we already have three other locations in Winter Garden, downtown Orlando and Lake Nona. We also have a fifth location in Celebration in development, so we’re being mindful to evenly distribute the restaurants throughout Orlando and the surrounding suburbs to maximize impact and provide access to our fresh food in new communities.”
