Jaws Fish and Chicken, a quick service concept with two locations in South Georgia, is skipping down to Oakland. What Now Miami confirmed on Friday with owner Moeen Khalil that the restaurant will probably be open in a couple of months.

It is unclear what pre-opening stage Khalil and his team are in, as little information is available to the public as of now. But the location will appear at 1500 W Oakland Park Blvd, according to plan review data filed with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. It seems that the former Noor Bakery & Deli occupied the small, freestanding space.

We don’t know how much work Khalil plans to put into a remodel of the building, if any. As the host of Noor, the structure had a covered outdoor seating area in addition to the indoor dining and ordering space.

The plans to bring the new location down south appear to be in motion. The aforementioned plan review was filed on March 10, and it is currently in process.
