It’s been awhile since the Fox’s Sherron Inn was open to the public. Since they closed in 2015, the landmark Miami destination has been sorely missed. Now, it seems that the iconic concept is making progress toward re-opening.
On May 19, 2022, a plan review was filed for the concept with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Lost Boy & Co. seems to be spearheading the new concept’s return. According to the brand’s website, they are bringing both Fox’s Lounge and Sherron Inn Liquors back to the same location at 6030 S Dixie Hwy.
Chris Hudnall, owner and COO of Lost Boy & Company, told What Now during a brief interview that the concepts will open sometime this summer. However, he declined to provide more information. The Fox’s Lounge website denotes that they will open this fall.
THe legacy of Fox’s Sherron Inn extends all the way to be to 1964, when the place opened as a sandwich shop. Founder Betty Fox named the concept after her daughter Sheron, but after the sign-maker’s error, the place has been called Fox’s Sherron Inn, but has never actually been a hotel.
