What Now on Tuesday came across a plan review filing with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation that confirms the brand’s plan to bring another location to the area.

The brand has a strong presence throughout South Florida, and according to the filing, they are planting one more location at 2319 S University Drive. In a strip development, the restaurant will neighbor eateries like: Sunrise Pita and Grill, Moe’s Southwest Grill and Esposito’s Pizza Bar and Restaurant.

The plan review was initiated by Vice President of Development & Construction Juanita Matallana on May 24, 2022, and is still in process. When this location is planned to open is unknown. What Now reached out to Matallana for more info, but we have yet to hear back.

The Chicken Kitchen brand was founded in New York in 1985 by Christian de Berdouare. The concept is based on quick, affordable and convenient food that doesn’t compromise in terms of health and nutrition. To read more about the brand’s storied history, visit their website.
