Thompson Hospitality is officially celebrating the opening of the Fort Lauderdale location
of Big Buns Damn Good Burgers and Matchbox with a jam packed, festivity-filled
weekend. Attendees can expect family-friendly entertainment; complimentary wine, beer
and spirit tastings; prizes; branded swag and more! The good times will also benefit
good causes as a percentage of each day’s revenue will benefit two different local
charities; Kids in Distress and Cristo Rey Miami High School. Below is the schedule.
Friday, June 24

● 4:30PM – 7:30PM Complimentary Wine Tasting
● 4:30PM – 7:30PM Complimentary Bells Beer Sampling with Bells Swag for any guest ordering a burger or bowl at Big Buns
● 6PM – 8PM – VIP Whiskey & Cigar Pairing on Matchbox patio — Makers Mark product sampling + swag for all and Barrel selection whiskies paired with hand rolled cigars for VIPS
Saturday, June 25
Charity Partner: Cristo Rey Miami High School
● 10AM – 3PM Brunch with DJ Entertainment
● 10AM – 3PM Wheatley Vodka Sampling with Matchbox swag
— Mobile bar with Wheatley Vodka and two Matchbox signature cocktails
— Batched cocktail product sampling, Wheatly Vodka sampling + swag for all guests
● 4PM – 9PM Wine Sampling for anyone (21+) joining for dinner
● 11AM – 7:30PM Complimentary Bells Beer Sampling and Bells Swag for any guest ordering a burger of bowl at Big Buns

Located alongside one another in the bustling Las Olas area, Fort Lauderdale’s premier
hub for socializing, dining and entertainment on the New River, these concepts boast
some of the best waterfront views the city has to offer. Matchbox and Big Buns are
located at 221 SW 1st Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. This grand celebration will be taking
place throughout the weekend of Friday, June 24 from 4PM-12AM & Saturday from
10AM – 4PM.
