As What Now recently reported, Pot’iwa Pizza, a Haitian pizza brand currently operating in Port-au-Prince, is planning to open a restaurant in Miami Gardens. A representative of the company tells What Now, however, that the brand’s arrival in South Florida includes not one but two locations. A second Pot’iwa Pizza will open in North Miami.
The two upcoming Pot’iwa Pizza locations are:
- Miami Gardens: One location is planned not far from the intersection of Miami Gardens Drive and South State Road 7, at 18138 Northwest Second Ave.
- North Miami: A second restaurant is planned on the southeast corner of NE Sixth Ct and NE 125th St, at 12485 NE 6th Ct.
In Port-au-Prince, Pot’iwa Pizza’s pies feature a variety of toppings, including seafoods like Herring, Salt Cod, Shrimp, and Lobster; meats like Chicken, BBQ Chicken, and Griot; and classic pizza toppings like Cheese and Pepperoni. The Port-au-Prince menu also features dishes like Chicken Wings, Pot’iwa Chicken Soup, and Chicken Paté.
The Miami Gardens location will open first, the representative told What Now on Thursday morning. It is expected to open by November 18.
The second location, in North Miami, sits opposite NE 125th St from a busy retail center that houses the St. James Acting Studio and the Nanay Community Center, plus eateries like Tomato & Basil and Rustic Hondureña.
