Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is planning to grow its Miami footprint, says recent coverage in the South Florida Business Journal. The company is currently seeking franchisees both inside and outside South Florida to open more Popeyes restaurants in Miami.
The journal coverage quotes Popeyes President Sami Siddiqui: “We’re trying to sign partnerships with new and existing franchisees in South Florida,” says the company president. “We are looking to build multiple units over the next few years.”
Popeyes offers fried chicken, tenders, nuggets, and a now-legendary chicken sandwich, along with popcorn shrimp, a selection of signature sauces, and sides like Homestyle Mac & Cheese, Cajun Fries, Coleslaw, and biscuits. It serves these at more than 3,850 restaurants in more than 30 countries. Popeyes sales have grown by nearly a third in the last three years, and it has plans to open locations in South Korea, France, India, and elsewhere.
Popeyes already has sixteen locations in Miami, by our count, and that’s already no small number. But the demand seems to be for more. Further locations will be opened “so we can be where our guests want us to be,” said Saddiqui.
