The stretch of West Oakland Park Boulevard between Oakland Shores Drive and Northwest 27th Avenue appears to be the future home of a new culinary concept. Recently submitted plan review paperwork shows a restaurant called Red Velvet Kitchen & Grill opening at 2759 W Oakland Park Blvd.

Much surrounding Red Velvet Kitchen & Grill is currently unknown. What Now reached out to owner Ebony Nichols this week to inquire about the project headed to Oakland Park. Nichols declined to comment.

And so it looks like this new local restaurant—particularly the details of its menu—will remain mysterious for a little longer.

The Oakland Park Boulevard location is in a small former Pizza Hut building that sits next to a Long John Silver’s location. On the other side of Oakland Park Boulevard is Jamaican restaurant G’s Jamaican. Other nearby landmarks include, in the next building west, snowboard shop Peter Glenn Ski & Sports.

Keep an eye out for Red Velvet Kitchen & Grill on its way to Oakland Park.
