Just alongside North Dixie Highway, on the southeast corner of the intersection between Northeast 36th Street and Northeast 12th Avenue, a new pizza place looks to be planning to make its home. A plan review was recently submitted by SoFlo Eats LLC for a restaurant project called Tom’s Pizza at 3580 NE 12th Ave.

Behind SoFlo Eats LLC is owner Thomas Sullivan. What Now reached out to Sullivan last week to inquire about plans for Tom’s Pizza. Sullivan was not available for comment.

The space is currently occupied by Butcher’s Barrel, a restaurant, market, and butcher shop offering “a unique dining experience with a creative rotating menu using ingredients from our in-house butcher shop and specialty market,” along with beer and wine.

The 12th Avenue location is part of a small plaza on 12th between Northeast 35th and 36th Streets. It is home to retailers like The Wander Shop and antique furniture store Rehaus, along with eateries like Nour Thai Kitchen and Rebel Wine Bar.
