The stretch of Southwest 280th Street between Southwest 128th Place and Southwest 127th Avenue in Homestead appears to be the future home of a new bakery. Plan Review paperwork shows Mi Capricho Bakery opening at 12783 SW 280th Street.

Behind the bakery is owner Luis Padron. What Now reached out to Padron on Wednesday to inquire about details pertaining to the bakery’s menu and general brand profile. Padron declined to make immediate comment on the matter.

Mi Capricho Bakery’s whimsical name is thus, for the moment, all we have to gone on with the menu. We expect coffee and baked goods. No projected opening date is currently available.

The Southwest 280th Street location is situated not far west of the intersection with Southwest 127th, to the northeast of which is Homestead Air Reserve Park. On the intersection’s northwest corner is Airport Plaza, a retail center that houses local businesses like Empire Fitness Club and CJ’s Alterations. It is also home to Amistad Grill Restaurant.
