With more than 3,000 locations worldwide, the name Chipotle Mexican Grill is practically synonymous with the phrase “fast casual,” and while it already has deep roots in South Florida, it is showing those roots can always go deeper. The brand’s next new location appears to be headed to Pompano Beach.

A recently submitted plan review shows the new location, which would be Pompano Beach’s second Chipotle, opening at 2100 W Atlantic Blvd, near the intersection with Premier Drive.

Chipotle offers burritos, bowls, tacos, and quesadillas as delivery systems for proteins like steak, chicken, carnitas, and barbacoa (along with an ever-growing roster of plant-based choices). Toppings include a choice of brown or white rice, black or pinto beans, and others, like salsa, cheese, veggies, queso, and guacamole.

The Atlantic Boulevard location is situated east of the intersection with South Powerline Road, on the southeast corner of which is a small retail center anchored by a Walmart Supercenter, and which is home to eateries like Wendy’s, Subway, and Pollo Tropical.
