The Rickenbacker Marina on Virginia Key will soon be home to Gramps Getaway, a sister concept to beloved Wynwood dive Gramps. Gramps Getaway will open at 3301 Rickenbacker Causeway, according to recent coverage by the Miami New Times.
“The 2024 collab everyone didn’t know they needed. Welcome home, @grampsgetaway,” says a recent Instagram post by Rickenbacker Marina.
The 3301 Rickenbacker Causeway location is the former home of Whiskey Joe’s, situated next to the Rusty Pelican.
“In classic ‘Gramps’ style, the only information about the opening is that the bar will be just like Gramps in Wynwood, but this outpost will overlook the water with a beautiful view of Biscayne Bay,” says the Miami New Times coverage.
What Now reached out on Friday to Gramps owner Adam Gersten to ask about Gramps Getaway’s opening details. Gersten was not immediately available for comment.
