With more than 20 locations, Vicky Bakery has been serving up Cuban pastries and more since 1972. The brand is currently at work on a second location in Pembroke Pines as it continues to expand its footprint in its South Florida home. Recently submitted paperwork shows the brand’s East Pines location opening at 8509 Pines Blvd.

What Now confirmed the news on Tuesday with franchisee Edward Meyer. Meyer said the location is working toward an opening in mid-March, declining to share any further information at this time.

The menu at the chain’s other Pembroke Pines location features popular sandwiches like the Pan Con Tortilla (Cuban sandwich with scrambled eggs, ham and cheese) and the Sandwich Croqueta Preparada (Croqueta sandwich on Cuban bread with ham, pork, and Swiss cheese). There are pastries both savory and sweet, including the Ham Croqueta, the Croissant Con Nutella, and the Guava and Cheese pastry.

Opening in a retail center on Pines Boulevard between Northwest 86th and 83rd Avenues, Vicky Bakery will join food and drink concepts like Nami Japanese, Ricky’s Sports Bar & Grill, Gold Marquess Pembroke Pines, and Baoshi Food Hall + Bar.
