The retail and restaurant community on the northeast corner of Northeast First Avenue and Northeast 34th Street, in the complex that houses Hyde Midtown Miami, looks to be getting a new taco shop. Plan review paperwork submitted by El Gallo Miami LLC shows a restaurant called El Gallo Taqueria opening at 3415 NE First Ave.

Behind El Gallo Miami LLC is owner Enrique Altamirano. What Now reached out to Altamirano on Friday to inquire about plans for El Gallo Taqueria. Altamirano was not immediately available for comment.

This leaves us waiting for more details on the taqueria’s menu—although, judging my the name, we’re expecting to find chicken on the menu.

Launching in the business center at the First Avenue-34th Street intersection, El Gallo Taqueria would join a thriving food and drink community that includes restaurants like Marie Blachère Bakery & Cafe, BurgerIM, Bondi Sushi, Salvaje, and more.

Stay tuned for more details on El Gallo Taqueria as they become available.
