Woodmont Shoppes, the business center located on the southwest corner of North University Drive and Northwest 82nd Street in Tamarac, will soon be getting a new, family-owned ice cream shop. Called Sweet Tooth Ice Cream, the new ice cream spot is the brainchild of owners Frederic and Shaira Polynice.

“It’s something we wanted to do for a very long time,” Frederic Polynice told What Now on Friday. “And eventually, we saw this place and it seemed like a great location, so we decided to go for it.”

On the menu, Polynice says, are hard- and soft-serve ice cream in a variety of flavors, milkshakes, specialty items like waffle cone nachos and ice cream sandwiches, and baked goods like cookies and brownies. The perfect spot, in other words, to treat your sweet tooth.

Opening alongside Little Giants Academy, Sweet Tooth will nicely complement restaurants just across University Drive, like Ferro Pizza and Restaurante Comida Peruana.
