Hãnai Coffee + Wine + Beer is a new beverage bar slated to open on 35th Ave and Southern sometime in the coming months. The store, which launched its morning coffee cart just last month, will feature locally roasted coffee from Elevate Coffee Co. as well as wine, beer, and craft cocktails.
According to a liquor license application obtained by What Now Phoenix, Hãnai will set up shop at 3648 W Southern Ave, Suites 148-150. The space is currently under construction, and the application indicates the renovations are estimated to be completed by the end of November 2021.
Hãnai borrows its name from the Hawaiian word for tribe. The eatery aims to be accessible and welcoming to all patrons. “Whether you are looking for your morning caffeine, a quick bite, or a place to gather we are your go to place. Through our Ohana room, vibe-y patio, live music, and sense of family you will feel right at home.”
Although Hãnai is the product of no one individual (the company’s website shares it has been created by “a group of people passionate about creating a place where we can all find our tribe”), the shop is closely related to and partially owned by Ryan Senters, the CEO and Owner of Ohana AZ. Ohana AZ is a faith-based social services agency that “provides residential and support services to foster youth and adults with special needs throughout the state of Arizona.” 10% of all profits from the beverage bar will go to Ohana.
We were unable to reach Senters at the time of publication, so the eatery’s opening timeline remains a bit unclear. You can find Hãnai on social media or visit the shop online to find out more.
