Be Happy Boba Tea is coming to 7558 W. Thunderbird Road in Peoria, according to a building permit recently filed with the city. The new shop is currently undergoing tenant improvements, taking over the former Mucha Lucha Taco Shop at the shopping plaza anchored by Basha’s on the corner of Thunderbird Road and 75th Ave.
First-time local business owner Loc Le confirms plans for Be Happy Boba Tea, adding that he hopes they will be ready to open by February 2022. In the meantime, Le is busy planning away every detail of his new shop.
The menu is currently under development, but Loc says Peoria locals can expect fresh-made fruit teas, milk teas and more, of course with delightfully chewy boba if that’s your style. Loc isn’t quite set on whether or not there will be food items for sale but as many avid boba lovers know, boba drinks can serve as a decent snack on their own.
