Tortas Manantial previously announced their expansion into Laveen, telling fans that they are planning to open their fourth location in Spring 2022. The family-owned chain of torta shops is likely cropping up at 5185 W. Baseline Road, in the former Papa Murphy’s.
The local Mexican torta shop was originally founded in 2000 in Phoenix and would soon grow throughout the West Valley with two more locations in Avondale. Tortas Manantial specializes in their unique version of of the Mexican torta, taking inspiration from Nayarit and Sinaloa.
Meats such as Pierna, Chicken, Chicharron, Turkey, Ham and more are prepared in-house with a special blend of spices and sauces for the most authentic flavor. They are packed on soft, locally-baked sub-style breads and topped with slices of American cheese, queso fresco, avocado, onion, tomato, jalapeño and lettuce, before it is all toasted and served warm.
Tortas Manantial also specializes in freshly squeezed natural fruit juices, aguas frescas, and Mexican licuados that are made with hand-sliced fruits and vegetables.
