Earlier this year we reported that Nebraska-based Scooter’s Coffee is opening a brand-new drive-thru on Queen Creek Road in Gilbert. Just when you thought this news couldn’t get any better, we’ve caught wind of a second Gilbert location also currently underway.
Plans found in city public records indicate that the second Gilbert Scooter’s will go up at 4550 E. Pecos Road. This location will be owned and operated by franchisees Matt and Lisa Krumwiede, who are also opening the aforementioned drive-thru on Queen Creek.
“We are excited to open our first two locations in Gilbert, Arizona. Both of these locations should be open by summer 2022 with plans to expand to five or more locations in the southeast Valley,” the Krumwiedes tell What Now Phoenix.
“As Nebraska natives, the success and growth of Scooter’s Coffee in the midwest is what drew our interest in this business. Their core values are Love, Integrity, Humility, and Courage—and who doesn’t want to work with a company who has LOVE as part of their values?”
The Krumwiedes are in the market to hire managers and baristas for both of their first locations.
