Taiwan’s number one boba brand, Xing Fu Tang, has intentions to establish that same reputation in the Valley. The boba shop will open its first Arizona location at 805 N. Dobson Road in Mesa, at the northeast corner of Dobson Road and Rio Salado Parkway by the Tempe Canal.
Franchisee and shop owner Huy Truong is excited to introduce Xing Fu Tang to Arizona this summer. “What really sets them apart is the fact that their boba pearls are handmade fresh everyday. Xing Fu Tang adheres to the ancestral craft of stir-frying the boba in brown sugar, versus using processed syrups and refined sugar like most boba shops today,” he said in a phone call with What Now Phoenix this week.
The most popular menu item is the Signature Brown Sugar Boba Milk, but other variations include a version topped with Dalgona Coffee or Brown Sugar Boba & Herbal Jelly Milk. The 1,300 square-foot shop is still under construction and will be big enough to accommodate seven or eight tables for indoor dining.
Truong is contracted to open three units in the Valley over the next two years, and told us that he is currently scouting locations in Glendale and Chandler. For those who can’t wait until Xing Fu Tang Mesa to open this summer, Truong says that they will make a splash debut later this month at Hawker Street Market in Gilbert.
