Doughbirds, the wood-fired pizzas and rotisserie chicken from Fox Restaurant Concepts, is planning a fourth location in Uptown at 5600 N 7th St. #100.

The company’s newest location will move into the former home of Bevvy Uptown, which closed last July, according to Mouth by Southwest. Familiar companies will surround the new Doughbirds, as Fly Bye and Culinary Dropout, both from FRC, will be about 200 feet away. The group opened Doughbirds in 2017 on the southwest corner of 44th Street and Indian School in Arcadia. The company recently opened a site in Nashville and has another coming to Tucson soon. Now, the group appears to be planning a fourth location in Fall 2023.

When the new location opens, customers can expect to find some of the tastiest house-made pizza and rotisserie chicken in Phoenix. This neighborhood spot offers one-of-a-kind dishes for every flavor profile, including a brussels sprouts pizza with melted sweet potato and glazed bacon or a rotisserie chicken in a rich Thai curry coconut broth. All eight available sauces are made in-house. To drink, the restaurant offers a daily happy hour for beer, wine, and cocktails.

The new Doughbirds will be a hit in Uptown, as many eateries from Fox Restaurant Concepts have been known to be successful. The group has opened over 50 restaurants and counting, including Flower Child, The Henry, Blanco, Olive & Ivy, The Greene House, The Arrogant Butcher, Zinburger, Wildflower, and Pushing Daisies. All concepts offer different yet exceptional settings to enjoy a meal or cocktail.

“We understand that the only way to guarantee our guests the best experience is to constantly refine and perfect it,” according to the company’s website. “So when we create new concepts in our test kitchen, we immerse ourselves in all the little details – from the uniforms to the menus, from the food to the music, from the lighting to the linens, all the way down to the salt and pepper shakers – and rework things until they all fit together perfectly.”
