On Monday, Oct. 7, the team behind the ingredient-obsessed True Food Kitchen introduced its brand-new concept, True Food Market. The neighborhood destination for wholesome meals designed to fuel busy lifestyles, True Food Market combines the quality guests have come to expect from True Food Kitchen with the convenience of a casual grab-and-go experience.

True Food Market is part restaurant and part market. Offering a selection of chef-crafted meals made with the highest quality ingredients, True Food Market caters to those in search of real food that doesn’t sacrifice flavor. Customers will have the option of dining in, taking a quick meal home, or choosing from a variety of grab-and-go options.

“True Food Market brings the best of True Food Kitchen with our signature focus on real food for real life,” said John Williams, CEO of True Food Kitchen and True Food Market in a statement. “We know it’s not always easy finding healthy meals on-the-go. We created True Food Market to make eating real food easier, empowering people to enjoy wholesome meals every day, no matter how busy life gets.”

The 2,800-square-foot True Food Market serves as a place to gather, eat, and connect. The restaurant’s interior spaces are bright, yet retro, with playful artwork on the walls, making it an ideal space for socializing, working remotely, and dining. An outdoor patio offers guests the unique experience of peeking into the restaurant through a garage window as they dine al fresco at the outdoor counter or a traditional table.

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu’s focal point is the air-fried, gluten-free, herb-brined, antibiotic- and hormone-free True Crisp’d Air-Fried Chicken Tenders, found in True Food Market’s signature dishes like the Nashville Hot Torpedo Roll, Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit and True Crisp’d Tray. Other standout items on the menu include the BBQ Ranch Torpedo Roll, Sun-dried Tomato & Pesto Flatbread and the customizable Greens & Grains Chop’d Salad Bowl, a bed of greens, grains, or both, topped with two chop’d salads, like the Mediterranean Couscous, Thai Mango Tofu, Kale Caesar, or Curry Chicken.

“The menu has been guided by True Food’s leading standards for high-quality ingredients to create chef-crafted meals that fuel your body without sacrificing taste,” said Senior Vice President of Culinary Matthew Padilla.

Because Phoenix is where True Food Kitchen was founded, Padilla felt strongly about seeking out local partnerships whenever possible. Noble Bread is featured in the restaurant’s selection of four Torpedo Rolls, Bianco DiNapoli Tomatoes (made by Phoenix chef Chris Bianco) is used in the flatbread sauces, and two specialty teas by Passport Coffee & Tea are on the menu. True Food Market is also partnering with national industry leaders AG1 and mindbodygreen for its smoothies, the all-organic, plant-based Cosmic Bliss for vanilla soft-serve, and Vital Farms pasture-raised, organic eggs for its breakfast tacos and one of its breakfast biscuits.

For those who need a wholesome, quick snack, True Food Market’s retail space features grab-and-go provisions, including products by local brands like Audrey’s Chia Cookies, Big Marble Organics, Wild Rye Baking Co., Honey Hive Farms, and True Nopal Cactus Water. Other purveyors include Hu, Good Culture and Health-Ade Kombucha (also available on tap). These items are featured alongside prepared meals, totes, aprons and cookbooks for purchase.

True Food Market is located at 8980 N. 90th Street, Suite 124 in Scottsdale. The restaurant is open daily and serves an all-day menu from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; breakfast is also served from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. Beverages start at $4, and food ranges from $10-$20.
