A little stretch of Magazine Street in Uptown is already full of hip dining options and a planned café called Trumpet & Drum looks to make the area even more of a destination. Slated to open at 3642 Magazine St. in a former architects’ office, Trumpet & Drum is dedicated to providing an elegant, full-service coffeehouse experience, according to a mission statement filed with the City of New Orleans.

The menu at Trumpet & Drum will feature a range of sweet and savory dishes, including hot sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, muffins, cookies, and pies. The café will also have a full espresso bar and a liquor license. Guests can order a latte, beer, wine by the glass, cocktails, and soft drinks. Guests can sit at a table for full service, or at a coffee bar for food and non-alcoholic drinks.

The addition of Trumpet & Drum will only make this stretch of Magazine Street more appealing as a culinary destination. Other nearby restaurants include Dakar NOLA, SukhoThai, and Lilette.
