Located a short walk from Caesars Superdome, Storyville doesn’t have a massive range of hospitality options compared to other parts of the city, but that’s starting to change and one of the newest concepts coming to the neighborhood is Story Restaurant and Cigar Garden.

“It’s gonna be something different,” owner Ivan Hinson recently told What Now New Orleans. “It’s a beautiful concept that focuses around cigars and the outdoor area. We also have a nice lounge and the interior is almost immaculate. I think the neighborhood and the surrounding area are really going to enjoy it.”

In addition to focusing on cigars, the new restaurant and lounge coming to 220 S Robertson St. will also offer a full menu of what Hinson calls Creole soul food. It will also have a full bar offering signature drinks with names inspired by the historic Storyville neighborhood. Hinson said there will also be plenty of TVs showing sports, which will likely draw people passing through on their way to the Superdome and Smoothie King Center. Hinson said an opening date is tentatively set for early summer.
